With some time on his hands Paul can now show some hot action from last night - Christmas Eve. The cute ladies are Marielle (my girlfriend) and Dominike (Ben's girlfriend). The other characters you should already know. Oh yes, Réjean my brother-in-law makes a cameo appearance.

The Other Stuff
As I am at the last minute I am condensing a year into two posts. This one and the Travel one. Also this year the translator (Marielle) is on strike. Sorry only English!
Francois turned 23 in January. Benoit turned 21 in September and Jean-Philippe turned 27 in December. Paul and Marielle also added another year.
We didn't get to see friends as much as we would have liked as Paul was stuck delivering a new technology system. We did have a memorable weekend with folk dance freinds at Stephane and Helene's chalet at Lac Simon.
Work was very demanding throughout the year. Several major technology implementations were completed the last of which goes in this January. All you federal public servant retirees keep your fingers crossed as your January payment will come from the new system.
The weather was warmer than usual or maybe this is the norm in times of global warming. The Summer was especially warm to hot, the pool, solarium and back yard deck came in handy as did the air-conditioning.
Not satisfied with the new solarium of two years Marielle spent all of Paul's work preformance bonus on a new bedroom suite. Change the bed! We have only had it 30 years Paul cried. This I might add was completed after we basically renovated our kitchen (for the second time). Boy are those granite counters heavy!
So short and sweet. I have lots more photos and stories to tell. I should have more time in the New year so please write or call or email and we can tee something up.
Enjoy the festive season and have a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Travel
At least I am consistent. I always start with fun things like travel. In 2012 we went to Mexico for a week in February, to Las Vegas Nevada and Green Valley Arizona for 2 weeks in March and then a few days in Baie Saint-Paul (well named) and Prince Edward County (not to be confused with Prince Edward Island) in September.
Mexico: sunshine with late afternoon storms, beach, sand, surf, good food, great shows, and even some wildlife. If you are wondering those furry animals are coatimundis.
Las Vegas: lights, glitz, good weather, surprisingly good restaurants, terrific shows (Love - Cirque du Soleil, O - Cirque du Soleil, Jersey Boys - the life of Frankie Valli (and the four seasons), Hoover Dam, and Red Rock Canyon. I didn't think I was going to enjoy it so much.
Green Valley: We stayed with Wayne and Louise (milles mercis), desert scenery, wonderful botanical gardens, changeable weather (it snowed in the mountains one day and was 27 celsius at the end of the week), margueritas, sunshine, the pool and biking.
Baie Saint-Paul: we stayed in a B&B with gourmet breakfasts, visited the Hautes Gorges de la riviere Malbaie, Isle aux Coudres, biking, eating, great beer, and just chilled out. We also visited Michel and Francine Marielle's primary school buddie.
Prince Edward County: in luxury accommodation, Sandbanks Park, wineries, wine and beer tasting, some biking and swimming and of course great restaurants and really interesting sculpture garden.
And that was it for travel. We had intended to go to Austria but because of my job we couldn't go. Next year!
